What is the autonomous nervous system?
The part of the NS that controls involuntary the internal organs and glands.
Which are the vital functions that ANS regulate?
Heartbeat, breathing, digestion.
What happens when the sympathetic system activates?
Rapid breathing and hearbeat, pupils dillate, slowed digestion, less salivation, increase of skin conduction
Which is the sympathetic division of the NS?
The thoracolumbar part, including chain ganglia along the spinal cord.
Which is the parasympathetic division of the NS?
The craniosacral devision. Terminal ganglia close to related organs.
Which cranial nerves are part from the PS?
Oculomotor, facial, glossopharyngeal, vagus.
What is Raynaud disease?
Exaggerated vasoconstriction in extremities.
What is hypertension?
Overreaction of the sympathetic division accompanied by stress.
