I: medial cuneiform and base of first metatarsal
Dorsiflexion & inversion
Extensor Digitorum Longus
Anterior compartment
O: lat tibial condyle upper 3:4 fibula and I.M
I: divided into four slips middle and distal phalanges
Dorsiflexion in toes assist in ankle Dorsi
Peronious Brevis & Longus
Lateral compartment
O: lateral 2/3 fibula
I: Brevis (styloid process lateral base fifth)
Longus (plantar surface cuboid medial cuneiform and base of first )
Eversion of foot, weak plantar flexor
Tibialis Posterior
Deep posterior compartment
O: post surface of interosseous membrane and adjacent tibia & fibula
I: Tuberosity of the navicular and into tarsal bones (except talus) base metatarsal
Inversion and plantar assist
Flexor Hallucis Longus

O: lower 2/3 fibulae and distal IM
I: plantar surface of base distal phalanx of great toe
Flexion of great toe assists in plantar
Flexor Digitorum Longus
Deep posterior compartment
O: post mid 2:4 of tibia
I: divides into 4 inserts plantar surface base of distal phalanx of lesser toes
Flexion of toes assist in plantar of foot
Gastrocnemius
Superficial posterior
O: medial and lateral condyles of femur
I: tendu calcaneous
Plantar flexion of foot and flexion of knee
Talocrual ligament
Plantar flexion and Dorsiflexion
Subtailor Joint and Mid Tarsal Joint
Eversion and Inversion
