describe the dorsiflexion lunge test
Patient stands facing wall in lunge position with testing leg closest to the wall with the foot perpendicular to the wall. Have the patient move the foot back but stop when the knee loses contact with the wall. Measure the distance from great toe tip to wall. Distances <9 cm suggested the restriction of DF. This test is predictive of future football injuries
