What is a mood board?
A compilation of elements to give the wanted look and feel of the product.
What is the frame rate?
The frequency at which the frame appear on the screen.
What effect does a faster frame rate have?
Better quality of movement.
What occurs in vector animation?
The motion is controlled by vectors instead of pixels.
What is bitmap animation?
The arrangement of bits rearranges to produce a new bitmap.
What is claymation?
A form of stop animation using an easily moulded substance.
What are pixelation techniques and their use?
Deliberate pixelation to block out faces.
What is rotoscoping?
Drawing over and filling in a piece of film with the movement of live actors to create more realistic movement.
What is tweeting?
Allowing a computer to create the frames in between the start and end frame.
What is onion skinning?
An animation technique where frames are super imposed over each other.
What is grouping of images?
Treating images as one singular one to make it easier to move and size them.
What is the backdrop?
The scenery behind the characters.
What is CGM?
A file format for 2D graphics that provides instructions on how to draw it.
What are storyboards?
Series of sketches showing the layout and sequence of animations.
