Describe lorenz’s study
A
Split goose eggs in half and hatched half with Lorenz and half with mum
Goslings born with Lorenz followed him and imprinted on him
Later on they tried to mate with Lorenz
Found imprinting occurred between 4 and 25 hours after hatching - critical period supporting bowlby and continuity

16 newborn monkeys reared in isolation with two wire monkeys one with food and one with comfort
Found that they spent longer on comfort
When scared they ran to soft mother and when scared with no soft mother they cowered in the cage
