what were Lorenz’ findings?
geese attached to the first figure that they saw. even when mixed up the geese returned to the first figure they had seen when they hatched. identified a critical period in which attachment must occur or it will be very difficult, varies by species
what was Harlow’s aim?
researched maternal deprivation effects in baby monkeys

16 baby monkeys. group 1 were placed in a cage with a cloth mother and a plain wire mother dispensing food. group two were placed in a cage with a plain wire mother and a cloth mother dispensing food.
