Animal Cells Flashcards
What is the Cell Membrane?
Something that separates the interior of the cell from the environment outside (also a barrier).
What is the Nucleus?
Something that controls the cell which also contain genetic material
What are Ribosomes?
Something tiny that is responsible for synthesising proteins.
What is the Mitochondria?
Something that are the organelles where aerobic respiration takes place, supplying energy to the cell.
What is Aerobic Respiration?
Something that releases energy in the mitochondria.
What is Cytoplasm?
Something that is a jelly-like fluid that fills the cell; it is where most of the cell’s chemical reactions take place.
What do animal cells contain?
Cytoplasm; Nucleus; Ribosome; Mitochondria; Cell Membrane
Animal cells are what?
Eukaryotic
