Behind the mental foramen a plate can be applied immediately below the dental roots and above inferior alveolar nerve…
In the anterior region between the mental foramina in addition to the cervical plate another plate near the lower border of the mandible is necessary in order to neutralize the torsional forces…
But at the angle of the mand….plate is placed on the broad surface of external oblique line as high as possible….
