Q

What are the types of Aneurysms?

A

saccular: saclike arterial dilation communicating with the artery by a relatively small opening. (Weakening of vessel wall because of atheroma)

Fusiform : bulge around the entire vessel similar to a football. (Weakening of vessel wall because of atheroma)

Pseudoaneurysms: dilation of an artery due to actual disruption of 2 or more layers of the vessel wall. ( eg: Intima)
