Hat with upturned brim. A female hat worn by Peruvian women. It’s a classic shape, but other shapes can also be the montera.

Type of Peruvian hat. Tall, soft hat. Very important shape to Peru. It’s a male hat. Exist in village context with textile tourism. Made it’s way into mainstream western fashion as the class winter hat with ear flaps.

Indigenous cultural center of Ecuador that’s the site of a lot of tourism. Lots of European influence with embroidery design and cotton eyelet. Have indigenous art forms that are mass produced and tailored to a tourist’s taste. Handbags being sold are a big thing there.
