Security Zone Anchorage
off Vinland 10-25 Fa, mud/sand bottom. .25nm rad, Navy for magnetic silencing
Explosives Anchorage
S of Thorndike Bay,
10-40 Fa, mud/sand bottom.
• Need permission from COTP to anchor.
• Anchoring more than 30 days, need COTP permission.
• Reserved for vessels carrying explosives.
• Display red flag in day, red light at night.
• Wooden boats need radar reflectors.
• Fishing, pleasure, and commercial vessels prohibited when vessels are anchored to load/unload explosives.
• Competent watchman, or standby tug.
Races Cove Anchorage
50ft, mud/sand. Tugs with log tows use waiting for weather. 1nm SE of S spit
Coon Bay Anchorage
small, nearly landlocked, excellent small craft protection, narrow entrance,
Port Gamble Anchorage
4-9 fathoms, mud, excellent.
Seabeck Anchorage
5-9 fathoms,
Sand and Shell
protection from SE to SW weather.
Quilcene Bay Anchorage
5-10 fathoms
mud and shell
good protection from N, E, W wind.
Pleasant Harbor Anchorage
