Anatomy special senses Flashcards
there are 4 things that refract your eye, only one is designed to actually bend light: which one is it?
Cornea
what does it mean to be nearsighted?and do they use concave or convex lens?
you can see near but not far; concave
prescription: bigger it is the ________ you are from the retina. a. closer b. farther
farther
what does it mean to be far sighted? and do they use concave or convex lens?
you can see far but not near; convex
what are the four steps of eye sight int he eye?
- cornea
- aquous humor
3 lens - vitreous humor
does the eye look bigger or smaller in a near sighted prescription glasses?
smaller
does the eye look bigger or smaller in a far sighted prescription glasses?
bigger
does convex converge the rays or not?
yes converge, bring in
Would we want the concave to diverge the rays or converge the rays before light passes into the eye before it enters into the eye?
Diverge the rays because light is now hitting the periphery and now it will go where it needs t0
Why do young children have more ear infection or high susceptibility:
Things in the skull are still developing so its more horizontal, so bacteria reproduced in here and gets clogged up
If light in a near sighted person, the lens is too strong, the lens is bending light too
