Anatomy::Breast Flashcards
Blood Supply Of Breast
- Axillary artery via lateral thoracic and acromiothoracic branches
- Internal mammry vi perforating arteris
- Intercostal arteries via lateral perforating branches
VENOUS drainage through corresponding veins
Lymphatic Draingage to the breast
5 Groups of lymph nodes
- Anterior(PECTORAL) Located in the medial wall of the axilla
- Posterior(Subscapular)
Located in the posterior axillary fold and subscapular blood vessels
- Lateral(HUMERAL)
Lateral wall of the axilla,
Central:
Base of the axilla
Receive ltymph from the efferent vessels from the pectoral, subscapular and humeral axillary
Apical:
Located in the apex
Receive efferent of central, i.e all lymph nodes.
