Q

List the normal adult white cell count and differential percentages. From these, calculate absolute counts for the different cell types (as cells of that type /μL).

A

WBC: 4,500-10,500 per uL of blood

Neutrophils: 40-60%: 1,800-6,300 uL
Eosinophils: 1-4%: 4.5-420 uL
Basophils: 0.5%-1%: 2.25-105 uL
Monocytes: 2-8%: 8-840 uL
lymphocytes: 20-40%: 900-4200 uL
