What do proximal and distal mean?
Towards the trunk of the body.
Away from the trunk of the body.
What do superficial and deep mean?
Nearer the surface.
Farther away from the surface.
What are the three different planes?
Sagittal.
Coronal.
Transverse.
What is the sagittal plane?
Divides body from right to left.
What is the coronal plane?
Divides the body into anterior and posterior.
What is the transverse plane?
Any crosswise plane that divides the body or any of its parts into upper and lower parts.
