Internal carotid and vertebral (x 2, left and right)

What are the branches of the internal carotid arteries?
A
- Ophthlamic artery - supplies the orbits
- Posterior communicating artery - connects the Circle of Willis
- Anterior cerebral artery
- Anterior choroidal - supplies limbic system, LGN, internal capsule
- small calibre arteries to globus pallidus and hippocampus
- Hypophysial - releasing factors
- Turns in to the middle cerebral artery

- Anterior cerebral artery - most of the frontal lobe
- Middle cerebral artery - some of the frontal lobe, lateral portion of temporal and parietal lobes
- Posterior cerebral artery - temporal and occipital lobes
