What are the branches of the internal carotid arteries?

A
  • Ophthlamic artery - supplies the orbits
  • Posterior communicating artery - connects the Circle of Willis
  • Anterior cerebral artery
  • Anterior choroidal - supplies limbic system, LGN, internal capsule
    • small calibre arteries to globus pallidus and hippocampus
  • Hypophysial - releasing factors
  • Turns in to the middle cerebral artery
