CASE STUDY : The Confederacion Nacional del Trabajo (CNT)

- The CNT, formed in 1911
- 1936 Spanish workers’ revolution, the CNT implemented its ideas.
- Workers’ collectives self-managed factories, transport, and utilities without state involvement.
- Economic equality was based on the principle “from each according to ability, to each according to need.”
-The revolution was ultimately defeated by General Franco’s Nationalist forces, leading to his dictatorship.
