Lines of equal pressure made from observations at 3am, 9am and 3pm
What is the difference between the MSLP prognosis and analysis chart?
Analysis is now, prognosis is in the future.
What is the general spacing of isobars on mean sea level chart?
2 or 4 hPa
What two SIGWX charts are available ?
Medium (10,000 ft to FL250)

How often are GPWT charts issued?
Every 6 hours
What is validity period for GPWT charts?
- For low level, 1.5 hours either side of stated validity time.
- For medium and high level, 3 hours either side of stated validity time.

Pennant = 50 kts
Feather = 10kts
Half feather = 5kts

Weather at a particular altitude/ flight level
