A
Procedural pain refers to any situation in which a patient required supplemental analgesia for short periods of time.

How can emergence reactions, hallucinations or other behavioural disturbances be minimised?
A
By administering IV doses slowly and by providing reassurance.

Hypersalivation is a known side effect of ketamine, how do you manage it?
A
- usually suctioning will be sufficient
- where hyper salivation becomes difficult to manage or the airway is compromised, consult RCH for management options which may include admin of atropine (MICA only)
