A

thalamus –> prefrontal cortex

hypothalamus–> midbrain–> pons–>medulla (which control aspects of emo response)

A

A

diminish/gone range of emotional behaviors and responses. Ex. ANIMALS DON’T SHOW FEAR of threatening stimuli

A

induces fear and agitation….. long term = ulcers

What is the Conditioned Emotional Response (CES)?

A

With fear of neutral stimuli … damage to CN –> no CES

you acquire it through observation + instructions

vmPFC helps w/ extinction

when this is damaged: decreased emotional responsiveness, memory, and judgement
