AMS Environmental Flashcards
Describe the operation of the temp control system with the mode switch in AUTO
1) The positions of the Temperature Modulating Valves are automatically adjusted by the Air Management System Controller (AMSC) to mix pre-cooled pneumatic supply air with heat exchanger cooled air to achieve the selected cockpit and cabin temp.
2) Additionally the Vapor Cycle System cycles on and off as required.
Describe the operation of the temp control system with the mode switch in MAN
1) The positions of the Temperature Modulating Valves are manually adjusted using the TEMP switch to mix pre-cooled pneumatic supply air with Heat Exchanger Cooled Air.
2) The Vapor Cycle System still operates as required.
Describe the operation of the temperature control system with the mode switch in OFF
1) The position of the Temp Modulating Valves are automatically adjusted by the Air Management System Controller to mix pre cooled pneumatic supply air with Heat Exchanger cooled air to achieve the selected cockpit and cabin temp
2) The Vapor Cycle System is disabled
Does the Vapor Cycle System operate with the MODE switch in MAN
Yes
What component of the temperature control system is disabled with the MODE switch in the off position
Vapor Cycle System
How does the temp control system operate with the MODE switch the OFF position
Automatically
