A

Because of the propaganda that was being sent to them by the allies.

The U.S Declares war! Why?

A

Because Germany sent out the Zimmerman Telegram to Mexico in hope Mexico would declare war on the U.S. They told Mexico that if they did this, they could get their territory back. This made America furious and joined the opposing side.

German Submarines:

A

The submarines, or otherwise known as U-boats, started to take into action in February of 1915. They were used because GB started to send blockades to German ports, leaving them no choice but to dock in British ports.

Lusitania:

A

The Lusitania was a passenger ship that was blown up by the German submarines. In total, this killed 1,200 people and 128 Americans.

A

Later in March 1916, the German submarines torpedoed another passenger ship sent from France. The ship was called the Sussex.

A

A promise made from Germany to America to limit submarine warfare. It kept the U.S neutral.
