2nd Amendement
Bear arms.
3rd Amendment
No soldiers can be quartered in a home without the consent of the owner.
4th Amendment
No unreasonable searches and seizures without probable cause.
5th Amendment
- No double jeopardy.
- Right to not bear witness against self.
- No deprivation of life, liberty, or property without due process.
- Private property cannot be taken for public use without just compensation.
6th Amendment
The right to a speedy trial. The right to confront witnesses against them. Right to counsel.
7th Amendment
Right to trial by jury.
8th Amendment
No excessive bail, fines, or cruel and unusual punishment.
9th Amendment
Enumeration of rights shall not be construed to deny other rights not enumerated.
10th Amendment
Non-enumerated rights are reserved to the states or the People.
13th Amendment
No slavery (except as a punishment for crimes)
14th Amendment
Born in U.S. = citizen. No oath takers can have insurrected or rebelled.
15th Amendment
Right to vote shall not be denied based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
16th Amendment
Congress has power to collect income tax.
18th Amendment
Prohibition of liquor.
