A

a guy was accused of rape, the rape victim sat directly in front of him in court and was very openly emotional and crying
guy’s lawyer said the victim influenced the jury with their tears
the supreme court agreed that the jurt was biased and his 6th amend rights were violated

A

a soccer player flipped someone off after winning a game
she got in trouble for it and argues that it wasn’t fair because many atlethes do that
she’s saying her due process rights were violated bc she got punishments without a trial
supreme court agreed she was entitled to certain procedures before penalities and ruled in her favor

A

the police raided a home & found many illegal guns
the police had a warrent and arrested the owner on the spot
despite suspicions, police wouldn’t have been able to search without a warrent due to the 4th amendment
they had probable cause & succesfully got a warent and caught the criminal

2nd amend

A

new york law passed limiting the carrying of guns in some public places and on private property unless the owner consents
it also has ppl seeking gun ownership prove they are law-abiding citizens and that they won’t use the gun for violence
it is believed it is not unconstiutional to limit guns in specific public areas, though the 2nd amend does condone guns outside the home

elon musk new ceo of twitter
he unbanned many offensive accounts and removed several restrictions allowing for many more controversial tweets
he believes that everyone should be able to say whatever because thats the first amendment
ppl are scared twitter will be bombared with hate speech now, though hate speech is protected under the 1st amend
