What are the requirements to select the Departure Aerodrome as a T/O Alternate?
- Weather at Departure +-1h ETA is above Landing Minimas
Otherwise a T/O alternate different from the Departure Aerodrome must be selected
What are the requirements to select a T/O alternate different from the departure airport?
- Weather +-1h ETA is above Landing Minimas
- Less than 1h cruise with OEI
- Maximum of 300 Nm from Departure Aerodrome
What are the requirements to select an Enroute Alternate?
- Required for flights with an Estimated Enroute Time greater than 2h
- Less than 1h cruise with OEI
- Maximum of 400Nm from Departure Airport
- In case of fuel ERA; weather +-1h ETA is above Planning Minimas
Requirements to select a destination aerodrome:
- Weather +-1h ETA is above Landing Minimas
- If no Meteo or below, 2 alternates required
- An alternate will always be required
Destination Alternate Requirements:
Weather +-1h ETA is above Planning Minimas
2nd Destination Alternate Requirements:
A 2nd alternate is required when:
- Destination Weather Unavailable
- Destination Weather below Landing Minimas
- Destination Alternate below Planning Minimas
Landing Minimas
- Type A approaches (>=250ft):
- Ceiling >= MDH
- RVR/Vis >= Min Vis/RVR
- Type B approaches (<250ft):
- RVR/Vis>= Min Vis/RVR
Planning Minimas
Type A and Circling Approaches:
- MDH + 400ft
- RVR/Visibility + 1500m
Type B:
- MDH + 200ft
- RVR + 800m
OEI limitations are taken into account
