What are the requirements to select the Departure Aerodrome as a T/O Alternate?

Answer 1

• Weather at Departure +-1h ETA is above Landing Minimas

Otherwise a T/O alternate different from the Departure Aerodrome must be selected

Question 2

What are the requirements to select a T/O alternate different from the departure airport?

Answer 2

• Weather +-1h ETA is above Landing Minimas
• Less than 1h cruise with OEI
• Maximum of 300 Nm from Departure Aerodrome

Question 3

What are the requirements to select an Enroute Alternate?

Answer 3

• Required for flights with an Estimated Enroute Time greater than 2h
• Less than 1h cruise with OEI
• Maximum of 400Nm from Departure Airport
• In case of fuel ERA; weather +-1h ETA is above Planning Minimas

Question 4

Requirements to select a destination aerodrome:

Answer 4

• Weather +-1h ETA is above Landing Minimas
• If no Meteo or below, 2 alternates required
• An alternate will always be required

• Type B approaches (<250ft):

Type A and Circling Approaches:
- MDH + 400ft
- RVR/Visibility + 1500m
Type B:
- MDH + 200ft
- RVR + 800m
