Why did Bismark want to create this alliance?
It secures allies for Germany and isolates France who were seeking revenge after defeat in 1870 Franco-Prussian war.
Why did this Alliance worry Britain, France and Russia?
It was easy to interpret the alliance as Germany preparing for an attack on their interests, although, in fact, the alliance only permitted mutual support in the event of an attack by any other Great Powers.

France was desperate for revenge on Germany but cannot secure it alone. Meant that France was no longer isolated and Germany would face a war on two fronts if it attacked her again.

Why was the Anglo-Japanese Alliance created?
It’s main interests were its empire and its navy as well as its tradition of free trade. She was worried that the Franco-Russian alliance would be used against her. Germany was Britains natural ally, but the kaisers attitude towards it was often confrontational. In 1898 Germany began building up her navy and in 1899-1902 Germany made public its support for the Boers, whom the British were fighting in South Africa.

Why was the Entente-Cordial created?
It was prompted by the rapid increase in the German navy. By 1902 Britain had put its navy in the 3 power standard. Her navy had to be as big as the next 3 biggest fleets in the world. As Germany had made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with Britain or France, the two decided to sort things out amongst themselves.
