Wounds As to severity:
a. Mortal/Fatal Wound
b. Non-Mortal/Non-Fatal Wound
an injury in the substance of the skin, DISCOLORATION OF THE SURFACE DUE TO EXTRAVASATION of blood.
Contusion Wound
Wound which when INFLICTED IS CAPABLE OF CAUSING DEATH immediately after infliction or shortly thereafter.
Mortal/Fatal Wound
Wound when INFLICTED WILL NOT ENDANGERS ONES LIFE
Non-Mortal/Non-Fatal Wound
WOUND As to the Kind of Instrument Used:
a. Contusion Wound
b. Hematoma Wound
c. Lacerated wound
d. Incised wound
e. Punctured wound
f. Barotrauma
g. Frostbite, burns or scald
h. Gunshot or shrapnel wound
i. Avulsion
j. Abrasion
this is the EXTRAVASATION OF BLOOD in the
newly formed cavity
Hematoma Wound
the effused blood are ACCUMULATED IN THE INTERSTICES of the tissue underneath the skin.
Contusion
blood ACCUMULATES IN A NEWLY FORMED CAVITY underneath the skin

the SKIN SHOWS NO ELEVATION and if ever elevated, the elevation is slight and is on account of inflammatory changes
