Class B Airspace Boundaries
All low-level controlled airspace from 12 500’ or MEA whichever is higher up to 18 000’ (but not including)
-Used at CZ and TCA
Class B Airspace
Cloud Clearance & Visibility Requirements
- 3 SM Vis
- 500 ft vertically from cloud and 1 mi horizontally
- Must be in VMC for CVFR if can’t file IFR or leave airspace. In a CZ request SVFR
Class B Airspace
Equipment & Entry Requirements
- 2-way radio communications
- Mode C Transponder & Altimeter
- Specific ATC clearance to enter
- CVFR and IFR only
Class B Airspace
Speed Limits
- Max 250kts under 10,000 IAS
- Max 200kts below 3000ft AGL and within 10nm of a controlled airport

Boundaries
- Low level airways
- Control area extensions
- Airport with a closed control tower
Control Zones (CZ)
Airspace of defined dimensions extending upwards from the surface of the earth, within which flight information service and alerting service is provided
Height capped at 3000’ AGL
Radius could be 3nm, 5nm, 7nm
Terminal Control Areas (TCA)
Inner circle 12 NM radius 1200ft AGL
Internediate circle 35 NM radius 2200ft AGL
Outer circle 45 NM radius 9500ft AGL
Class E Airspace

- Cloud: 500 ft vertically and 1 mi horizontally
Class E Airspace
Equipment & Entry Requirements
- No clearance needed
- No need to establish radio contact to ATC to enter
- No radio required
- Need transponder if it’s transponder airspace and Altimeter
Class E Airspace
Speed Limits
- Max 250kts under 10,000 IAS
- Max 200kts below 3000ft AGL and within 10nm of a controlled airport
Class G Airspace Cloud Clearance & Visibility Requirements
Above 1000' - 1 SM Vis (Day) 3 SM (Night) - Cloud: Horizontally: 2 000 ft Vertically: 500 ft Below 1000' - 2 Sm (Day), 3 SM (Night) -Clear of Cloud

Non needed
Class G Airspace

Whenever the need for controlled airspace that doesn’t exists
Class G Airspace
Speed Limits
- Max 250kts under 10,000 IAS
- Max 200kts below 3000ft AGL and within 10nm of a controlled airport
Class F Boundaries
- Special use Airspace
- Can be Advisory (A) or Restricted (R)
- Can be uncontrolled or controlled
Class F Advisory (A) Airspace
Use for specific activities such as flight training, parachuting, hand gliding, soaring, aerobatics, military or to impose limitation on aircrafts
What is the Forest Fires Operations?
Can't be over them or within 5nm and 3000' AGL Becomes class F
NOTAMS for forest fires
NOTAM will issue the area of the forest fire
Can’t go in the airspace
