Q

Land and Hold Short Operations (LAHSO)

A

An ATC procedure that is used when simultaneous operations (takeoffs and landings) are being conducted on intersecting runways.

PIC has the final authority to accept or decline any of this clearance. The pilot must be aware of the reduced runway distances and whether or not you can comply.

Pilots should only receive this clearance when there is a minimum ceiling of 1,000 feet and 3 statute miles of visibility.
