Airplane Systems Flashcards

1
Q

Engine Fail Msg (less than command performance)

A

RED- thrust less than command and speed below 65 k and 6 k prior to V1

Caution ENG FAIL (L,R)-engine decelerates to less than Idle speed.
תעלם אם המנוע יתאושש או ב fuel control cut off

Q

RAT

A

*Provides hyd only to the flight control connected to center hyd sys.
* provides hyd end Elec through the flight.
Deploy automatically:
-both Engines failed and Center sys pressure is low ,or
-both AC transfer buses unpowered,or
-all 3 Hyd sys pressure are low.
**the hot battery or app battery must be powered

Q

TAC thrust asymmetry compensation

A
  • if thrust level on one engine differs by 10% from other engine, automatically adds rudder.- Before Liftoff TAC uses less rudder to help pilot recognize engine failure, after Liftoff fully compensate

TAC Available except:
* speed below 70 k on ground
* reverse applied, or
*loss of engine data or sys malfunction
** TAC May disengage following severe damage or surge

Q

Wheel to rudder Cross-Tie

A

Provides capability to control the initial effect of Engine failure using control wheel inputs only.
It can deflect the rudder up to 8 degrees. And below 210k in normal mode

Q

TOGA in the ground

A

-Below 50k activate THR REF (thrust limit page).
If not pushed below 50k- no operation of A/T until 400’
-if pushed above 80k: disarms LNAV/VNAV, & automatically show FD’s if off

(Flaps not up or GS capture)

A

-activate AT in THR mode with GA reference. Thrust adjust to provide 2000 rpm climb
-select TOGA roll & Pitch modes
-arms LNAV
-disarm AFDS modes
-inhibits during landing from 2 feet for 3 sec or more, if Landing is cancel TOGA available again above 5 feet.
