- AUTO – When the switches are selected to AUTO the ECU’s digital channels control the operation of the pack “Flow Control & Shut Off Valve (FCSOV)” and the respective “Pack Bypass Valve” (in response to manual inputs) to automatically regulate cabin or flight compartment temperatures
- Temperature control is based on feedback indication from “Zone Temperature Sensors”
o CABIN & FLT COMP Temp Selector when set in AUTO: - Full Counter Clockwise – Full COLD: ECU will maintain a cabin temp of 15°C (59°F)
- Full Clockwise – Full WARM: ECU will maintain a cabin temp of 27°C (81°F)
Pack Control Switches (toggle - three positions)
- MAN – When the switches are selected to MAN the ECU’s ___ channels control only the ___ (in response manual inputs) to regulate cabin or flight compartment temperatures. The ___ remains in a full ___ configuration when operating in the Manual mode
- Temperature control is based on ___. This means that in manual mode, the temp range is greater, therefore the chance of pack or duct overheat is increased
o CABIN & FLT COMP Temp Selector when set in MAN:
- Full Counter Clockwise – Full COLD: ECU will maintain a cabin duct temp of ___
- Full Clockwise – Full WARM: ECU will maintain a cabin duct temp of ___
- MAN – When the switches are selected to MAN the ECU’s analog channels control only the “Pack Bypass Valves” (in response manual inputs) to regulate cabin or flight compartment temperatures. The “FCSOV” remains in a full open configuration when operating in the Manual mode
- Temperature control is based on “Duct Supply Temperatures”. This means that in manual mode, the temp range is greater, therefore the chance of pack or duct overheat is increased
o CABIN & FLT COMP Temp Selector when set in MAN: - Full Counter Clockwise – Full COLD: ECU will maintain a cabin duct temp of 3°C (37°F)
- Full Clockwise – Full WARM: ECU will maintain a cabin duct temp of 71°C (160°F)
Pack Control Switches (toggle - three positions)
- OFF - When both Pack switches are selected OFF the ECU closes the ___ and the ____ resulting in a shut down of both ACMs
- OFF - When both Pack switches are selected OFF the ECU closes the FCSOV and the Turbine Shut-off valves resulting in a shut down of both ACMs
- With both ACMs operating (i.e. dual pack operation) the ECU uses approximately ___ of the air being supplied by the ___ pack for the flight compartment temperature. It uses the remaining volume of air from the ___ pack and all of the air being supplied by the ___ pack to control the cabin compartment temperature
- With both ACMs operating (i.e. dual pack operation) the ECU uses approximately half of the air being supplied by the left pack for the flight compartment temperature. It uses the remaining volume of air from the left pack and all of the air being supplied by the right pack to control the cabin compartment temperature
- During single pack operation: the Recirculation fan will run at ___ speed and the system will operate at ___ airflow (approximately __% of flow selection)
- During single pack operation: the Recirculation fan will run at low speed and the system will operate at reduced airflow (approximately 70% of flow selection)
