Q

How do you think you will cope with being away from home and losing your personal freedom?

A
  • I wouldn’t be completely truthful if I said being away from friends and family for long extended periods would be a struggle but its the nature of the job and I accept that.
  • Being a university student I have become very used to not seeing family members and even when I go home because many live in different parts of the UK or abroad.
  • I would say its learning to looking forward to seeing them but i also imagine on the job you’re too distracted.
  • Personal freedom I am not too worried about, again university is not exactly isolating, especially living in a house with all your best friends.
  • I have very briefly experienced the intrusion of personal space and freedom and limestone, and it did not bother me.

Q

What are your strengths?

A
  • I feel I have a good emotional intelligence often providing advice to others, even much older than me, when they face issues in life. I believe this comes from childhood being surrounded by much older sibilings, with my oldest brother being 38, which has meant I grew up much quicker in some way.
  • i have also faced great family challenges in my life, being from a big family of half siblings, so I have been use to conflicts in relationships. This has allowed me to hone on my emotional intelligence.
  • Simiarly, the challenges I have faced in the work place such as disgruntled or rude customers, especially in lockdown, have allowed me to hone on my conflict resolution skills.
