AI Flashcards
What is general AI?
aims to replicate the brand cognitive abilities of humans, .It is AI systems that can autonomously solve a variety of complex problems in a variety of different domains and learn and adapt autonomously.
What does encryption refer to?
The use of algorithms to securely encode a message into cipher text.
What is flat currency?
A currency that has value often enforced by a centralised authority.
Define cryptocurrency.
A digital currency based on encryption to verify transactions and control the creation of new units of currency.
What is machine learning?
Computers identifying patterns in data and making decisions based on these patterns.
What is supervised learning?
The task of learning a function that maps an input to an output based on example input-output combinations where the data is labelled.
Define unsupervised learning.
Finding patterns in data that is not labelled and where no previous patterns have been identified.
What is semi-supervised learning?
A combination of labelled and unlabelled data.
What does reinforcement learning involve?
Learning by interacting with the environment using a system of ‘reward and punishment.’
What are the two steps of supervised learning?
- The algorithm uses a training data set of input features with a labelled output to develop a model.
- The model can then be used to make a prediction from new data.
How does unsupervised learning operate?
With little or no human supervision.
Why is semi-supervised learning used?
Because labelling large data sets can be impossible or very expensive.
What is the goal of reinforcement learning?
To maximise reward by finding the best possible action to take in a particular situation.
What is generative AI
is designed to generate new or original content in response to prompt typed in or given by the user. It should be used with caution as it is not always correct.
