What was the enclosure system?
Making smaller farms to larger, more efficient farms

Rich landowners that buy up farms connecting them together and use productive farming methods to increase agricultural crops over large areas of land, bought from farmers nearby and increased profits for the weslthy landowners
What was the cottage industry?
People or families that work out of their farmhouses, working by hand to create textiles for sale
What was Terra Nullius?
It’s an expression meaning “empty land”. The term refers to a 17th century legal concept that permitted European colonial power to assume control of land that was unclaimed. England relied on this expression to claim possession of the Australian continent.
What was the agriculture revolution?
A period/movement that occured between the 18th and the end of the 19th century, which saw a rapid increase in agricultural productivity and vast improvements in farm technology.
What are some inventions that were created or greatly improved?
The plow & moldboard, seed drill and machines that harvest (such as sickles, realers & harvesters)
