What is emergent leadership?
The idea that anyone can become a leader at any point. Leadership isn’t relegated to project manager or tech lead.
What is servant leadership?
Leaders collaborate with the team and do anything the team does when needed
What is predictive management?
Project management approach best suited for industrial work, where process is defined and work is understood (but has to be executed).
What are empirical processes?
Used for knowledge work, process that are interactive, incremental, change often/adapt, and pass through reviews. They are change driven.
What is a generalizing specialist?
Each person can perform more than one task well, can take on multiple roles on the team.
What is release planning, and what are some key concepts?
Planning for the release of new functionality
- only 1-2 per year
- customer outlines what
- developers estimate how much (time, difficulty, complexity, etc)
