Very front of the brain that is involved in social and moral behaviour and controls aggression

Part of our unconscious that caused our aggressive drive

The part of the mind responsible for reason and self-control

The part of the mind responsible for quest for perfection

Behaviour strategies used by the individual to protect itself
Displacement
You take out your anger and frustration onto a person/object not the actual target of your anger
Sublimation
Channeling our aggression into acceptable behaviours
Vicarious learning
Learning by observing a model being rewarded and imitating them
Monitoring
Judging whether our own behaviour is appropriate or not
Punishment
A stimulus that weakens behaviour because it is unpleasant and we should avoid it
PET scan
A technique to show how the brain is working by imagining whilst patient is carrying out a mental task
Repress
Keep our emotions under very tight control & not express how we are feeling
