What is the time course (after drug administration) and presentation of AGEP?
A
high fever with numerous non-follicular pustules on erythematous background starting <4 days after drug administration. Rapidly generalizes to involve entire body
- 50% of patients have purpuric or EM-like lesions, mucosal involvement, edema of hands/face, or bullae (these findings help differentiate from pustular psoriasis

Histopath of AGEP:
A
- subcorneal and intraepidermal spongiform pustules, prominent superficial dermal edema
- perivascular mixed inflam with eos
- presence of edema and eos, and lack of acanthosis helps to differentiate from psoriasis

Tx of AGEP:
A
Stop drug, supportive therapy, topical CS, antipyretics (patients usually have high fevers)

A
- leukocytosis
- neutrophilia
- hypocalcemia
- renal insufficiency
