Define Family and kinship and versions of family.
Values you develop product of family
Versions of family: Nuclear, divorced, blended, single parent, homosexual.
Kinship is extended from this: for eg kinship of traditional nuclear family is grandparents, cousins, aunts, etc
Kinship of blended families create complex links
Building block is society
Kinship is relationships
Define ethnicity and culture
Background/combination of background shapes the way we see world
Ethnicity shapes interests (eg travel, sense of humour)
Traditions inherited affect sports we are interested in, foods, languages, alliances

Mixed culture, not being able to commit to one
Society: being judged, prejudice, missing opportunities because of name/last name.
Environment: Wars because of two countries feeling like a personal attack

Geographical location has a significant impact on PSI due to exposure of privilege, opportunities etc.
Populations more prone to participate in activities based on culture - determine values and behaviour
Some are more beneficial than others.
Choices and values reflect nurturing
Define Gender. How is it a social construct?
socially constructed differences between males and females and roles and expectations associated with them. Shapes identities.
Social construct because it has changed from biological to social construct
