gradual loss of vision - central scotoma bluring of small words straight lines -> curvy vision worse at night flickering/flashing lights glare around ocular objects

colour fundous photograph (provides baseline)

OCT (ocular CT)

treatment
A
DRY- zinc with antioxidant vit A, C, E (can cause Ca so not given in smokers)
WET - anti-VEGF e.g. ranibizumab (4 wekly injection)
STOP SMOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
