Starts with young mothers with children at the park. Larkin describes there routine chores. But the end it shows how women lives have changed and how they aren’t in control of there lives. The next generation will follow there pattern.

Setting is first. Then focuses on the woman’s life and contrasting what they were and what they are now. The final stanza returns to the present there is no hope for the future.
