That Africa has culture and was the original civilization and was fully alive, and had this natural environment and a collective African personality

It looked at Africa as the spiritual nation of all black men, and had things like negritude through Senghor that believed that Africans were essentially all emotional and had no logical intelligence. It basically underpinned the work of Dubois, senghor and Marcus Garvey

What are the criticisms?
The fact that it produces Afro pessimistic schools of thought but still it was believed that the movement was necessary
