During bidding, what are the architect’s overall responsibilities?
- Obtaining bids
- Confirming responsiveness of bids

Essentially it’s the architect’s job to get the bidding done for the owner.

Programming - unit cost (per square foot)
SD - preliminary (major elements like structural/mech/elec/plumbing systems etc.)
DD - detailed pricing based on components being considered.
CD - complete and final pricing (quotes from suppliers, installers, sub-contractors and manufacturers)
