How are adverbs used?
Adverbs are used with verbs, adjectives or another adverb to express how, where or to what extent something happens.
Generally, how are English adverbs formed from their adjectives?
By adding ‘ly’ to the adjective
e.g slow … slowly
Generally, how are French adverbs formed from their adjectives?
By adding ‘ment’ to the feminine form of the adjective
e.g. lente (slow) … lentement (slowly)
