A
- Postural perfusion changes including tachycardia, hypotension or dizziness
- Decreased sweating and urination
- Poor skin turgor, dry mouth, dry tongue
- Fatigue and altered consciousness
- Evidence of poor fluid intake compared to fluid loss

- Secondary to cardiac chest pain
- Secondary to opioid analgesia
- Secondary to cytotoxic drugs or radiotherapy
- Severe gastroenteritis

- Fluid rehydration

- Ondans 4mg ODT
+ repeat 5-10/60 4mg - Ondans 8mg IV no repeat
- If known allergy OR C/I to Ondansetron AND >= 21 Stemitil 12.5mg

A
- Normal Saline IV (40mL/Kg)
+ titrated to response
+ Consult for further
+ No consult available further 20mL/Kg

- Normal Saline 20mL/Kg IV over 30minutes
