Adrenergic Transmisson Flashcards
Phenylephrine
A1 agonist for acute BP drop(oral) and orthostatic hypotension. Induces bradycardia
Dopamine
IBOPAMINE
DOBUTAMINE
What are they?
B1 agonists.
Clonidine
A2 agonist totreat high blood pressure. PRESYNAPTİC TERMİNAL BINDING, clonidine withdrawal syndrome
Salbutamol
B2 agonist for asthma therapy bronchodilation
Atosiban
B2 agonist for premature uterine contractions
Exogeneous adrenaline
Preferential Alpha receptor effect, Causes high BP, and bradycardia(lower than phenylephrine)
ISOPRENALINE
Diastolic BP decrease, tachychardia
Adrenaline (IV)
Low concentration B effect= tachychardia
High concentration A and B effect= less tachycardia
Amfetamines
Indirect agonists, stimulates release of NA, dopamine, 5HT
EFEDRINE
Indirect agonist, taken up by uptake 1
Cocaine
Uptake 1 inhibiting indirect agonist
TCA
MAO inhibitor, indirect agonist
Labetalol
Bigger A1 and smaller B1 alpha blocker effect
Fenoxybenzamine
Irreversible a1 and a2 blocking
Pindolol
B blocker with ISO
