increases the force of contraction (positive inotropic effect), increases heart rate, increases conduction velocity at the AV node

increases systolic BP; decreases diastolic BP and total peripheral vascular resistance; MAP remains unchanged

elevates blood glucose levels by enhancing liver glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis
