-Autoimmune= most common cause
- can also be caused by infection, tumors, hemorrhage
- affects adrenal cortex

Secondary addison’s disease

Bronze color skin (HALLMARK)
Postural hypotension(d/t ⬇️ Na)
Wt loss, salt cravings, N/V
Loss of genital hair and libido
Myalgia and arthralgia(w/ no swelling)
Electrolyte imbalances in addison’s disease

Adrenal Crisis
Profound hypotension causes shock
