Q

Can ATCs share the FQ cloud storage folder with a client’s user list?

A

No, this needs to be done by the owner of the FQ folder (clients IT or champion)

Whoever initiates the cloud storage integrations in the Setup Link will be the owner of the FQ root folder in the cloud storage environment. This is who needs to share the folder with the rest of the users.

Q

When a folder is locked in FQ, does it also automatically get locked in Cloud Storage Providers? Does it work the same for all Cloud Storage providers?

A

Depends, not all CSP have this as an innate capability. However, we have a feature flag that can be enabled per clients request to allow any CSP to lock upon folder locking.

Google Drive, Box, and Egnyte have the ability to lock files upon folder locking in FQ automatically, each to a slightly different extent. However, if we enable the Folding Locking feature flag any CSP can have the ability to lock files down upon folder locking in FW per a client’s request. This is a great control to ask admins if they are interested in.

Q

How does the Refresh button on Reconciliation Tab differ from the Refresh button in the Folders tab?

A

It brings the most up to date information (GL balances + rec workbooks)for all entities and process folders for the current period, whereas the Refresh button in the Folders tab just refreshes information in a single process folder.

Q

What does the multi-book reconciliation feature do for NetSuite and Intacct clients?

A

When a client wants to pull account balances from two different reporting books (i.e. Primary and Secondary)

The multi-book reconciliation feature will be used more when a new accounting standard is coming as clients will book-related entries in a secondary book first, before adjusting their primary books (i.e. ASC 606)

Q

Does “Allow Document Access” give Auditor access to FloQast folders in Cloud Storage Provider?

A

No, the client will still need to grant direct access to the FQ folder in the CSP if they want the auditors to directly access documents there.

Auditors can download documents directly from FQ regardless of whether or not the client has granted direct access to the FQ folder in the CSP if the “AuditorDirectFileAccess” feature flag is on.

Q

Will sign-offs be removed if I delete a task or account rec that was already signed off?

A

No, FQ will never remove historical data.

FQ will only delete instances of the item in periods that there are no sign offs yet executed.

17
Q

Can clients create subfolders within Perm File folders?

A

Yes, this is recommended to ensure the organization of all the documents saved here are effectively organized.

Note: the subfolders need to be created in the CSP and they will sync through into FQ.

18
Q

What happens if you apply the bulk edits template back to previous periods and there are already sign-offs on items?

A

The updates won’t be uploaded to items with sign-offs executed.

19
Q

What’s the difference between the Refresh and Sync GL buttons for NetSuite clients? (select all that apply)

A

The Refresh button pulls in updates to the TB and the Rec workbooks. The Refresh button is used daily during the close and is autorefreshed at midnight due to a need for updated information within the Rec module

The Sync GL button forces a refresh of the COA and subsidiary structure in FQ. The Sync GL button would be used if a client adds a new account or sub in NS and needs to add it in FQ

20
Q

What is the best practice approach when running through the Application controls with a client (Strict Sign off Mode, Strict Sign Off Mode, Strict Folder Locking)

A

Explain what it is, give the client context, provide a recommendation, and then ask what they think
