Adaptive cruise control Flashcards

Q
summary
A
Adaptive cruise control uses sensors, an on-board computer, and actuators to maintain a safe distance from another vehicle. The driver sets a cruising speed, and lasers send signals to the car’s bumpers. The computer calculates the distance between the vehicles, sending signals to slow the car down if too close. If the distance exceeds the safe limit, the computer checks if the speed matches the driver’s set speed.
