British soldiers are standing in formation looking like they were enjoying what they were doing, blood dripping of bayonets, many puffs of smoke to look as if many shots were fired, colonists with backs to soldiers, no snow in picture so no weapon for colonists, a puppy in the center of the engraving, terms side to describe British in the poem “fierce barbarian” and colonists “victims.”
